6 Years Old

This is cool. I haven't used this blog as a photo album yet but here we go...

So, Bentley is six, Did I ever tell you about my sixth, no, it was my seventh birthday party. It was a disaster. In fact, it was my last birthday party. Never mind, I will tell you later. This is about Bentley...

We got together in the YIGs community room in Huntsville. It was hot, bright, busy and a lot of fun was going on. Kids are great, and busy. There was veggie platters, fruit trays, salty snacks and two kinds of pizza - with and without pepperoni - this is a kids party, remember. We had just come down from Loring visiting Jim and Shirley where we ordered a pizza that took two pages to list the ingredients. It also cost $40 but I will tell you about the whole Loring trip later. Probably before my seventh birthday party. It was actually a little embarrassing. The birthday party, not the pizza. The birthday party really was embarrassing, not at the time but now, really. Where was I? Okay, Bentley is having a birthday party. Brenda and I were comparing it to the year before where they rented a play hall and it was full of equipment and toys and stuff, but your know... look at the videos.. the kids had a great time just running around and around on the flat open floor. At six - what do you know?

Another thought was that I was doing birthday photos when Vincent was up to visit a while back. I gathered all the photos that I had for my birthdays and it went back a good portion of my life. We did Vincent's birthday photos and we went back quite a ways but when we did Bentley's we went back to her first birthday and then... there was more... her Birth Day. How different is it going to be for this generation. They will see videos of themselves being born. That is just so weird. I guess that just makes me old. Never mind, here's the photos. Personally I prefer the videos that comes later in this post, so don't forget to go way down to the end to see them.

Here's the videos I was talking about...

  1. This is wonderful, Gary. Although - I was hoping to see some of YOUR birthday photos as well...

Now, there is a shot of a red-bearded young man standing at a long counter. Go find that - and then tell me he isn't slicing pizzas with a light saber, in the coolest fashion possible.
